Music on Repeat this month - Little Joy
I can't get enough of this album. Maybe I'm just looking for something more soothing and melodic these days -- either way, this album hit me at the right time.
I love the variety and depth of this record. While "Keep Me in Mind" hooked my attention, it never strayed through all 11 songs. "Don't Watch Me Dancing" is a nice sweet track, fronted by the lone female in the group (Binki Shapiro). Here's their bio from LaLa.com:
Little Joy is a Brazilian/American rock band formed in 2007 by Los Hermanos singer/guitarist Rodrigo Amarante and The Strokes drummer Fabrizio Moretti. Amarante and Moretti met in 2006, at a festival in Lisbon where both their bands were performing, and the idea came up to start a new musical project unrelated to their respective bands.
