AppJudgment > Episode 2: iPhone: Chess With Friends

I don't usually promote the shows that I work for (that pay my bills), but I do make a few exceptions. Our company (Revision3) launched a new show and I'm the Producer. It's all about Apps for your smartphone (and not just the iPhone)!

I'm super excited about this 3-times a week show, and more importantly the people I get to collaborate with!

Check it out and let me know what you think.

screen of death for the iPhone

***FYI*** this is not a jailbroken 3GS, nor was I trying to jailbreak it. It had been acting funny all day and I turned it off. After an hour I attached it to the charger (still not turning the power on) and the screen on the pic immediately popped up.

But before that my iPhone looked like this

Am I not valued as a current customer?

Am I looking at this right?  "valued AT&T iPhone customer" and $499 to upgrade to the new 32GB

This isn't real, right? What am I missing, because this just ain't right.

iPhone App - CameraKit

I'm really enjoying the iPhone App "Camera Kit". You really have quite a combination of controls at your finger tips:

Take a look at the hiking/trees photo. There is an original photo and seven configured photos, each with it's own filter and color cross processing. I think my favorite is the soft focus Sepia version. That version looks really old-timey.

I also like the Bay Bridge "Classic + Green + Vignetting" photo. Someone commented that it "looked like a 70's cop show photo (sans the SUV's)", which was exactly what I was going for - ha!

I think it was definitely worth the $1.99 I paid.

iPhone Ringtones gettin' you down?

Then try Audiko.net: http://audiko.net/

You can make your own ringtone (a la the iTunes way) or download the hundreds of ringtones already edited. I love it and I hope the new iTunes firmware update doesn't knock this site out of usability.

My new ringtone? Super Mario Bros Theme :) Check it out below.

About

I'm based in the Bay Area and I make videos that either go on TV or the web. Currently, I work at Revision3.

I believe I am addicted to the internet.

I like dark chocolate, red wine, pop music, good food, my dog Jango and *shocking* some reality TV shows.

I will never apologize for these interests, or force you to like them too.

Hello world!
